The Yemeni Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons was established in 2014 as a non-profit organization licensed by the Ministry of Social Affairs. It was founded to support the highest standards of quality in patient care. Its early goals included advancing the science and art of surgery, strengthening collegial relations among surgeons, and creating a professional forum for communication. The society was founded by a group of leading Yemeni plastic surgeons through a founding meeting. It works to unify the voice of Yemeni plastic surgeons, prepare scientific conferences, and raise the academic and practical level of its members. The society includes surgeons licensed to practice general surgery in Yemen. Its activities cover scientific, social, and professional fields, while promoting surgical excellence for the benefit of humanity.
Establishing the society itself.

Holding the first scientific conference in March 2018.
Preparing for the second conference held on 13–14 March 2019.
Organizing courses and seminars for newly graduated doctors.
Organizing training sessions for nursing staff on aesthetic patient care and privacy.
Opening postgraduate academic tracks in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
To raise awareness in society about plastic surgery, highlight the presence of qualified and highly trained plastic surgeons in Yemen, contribute to community education in this field, and promote continuous education and professional development.
To advance the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery and prepare outstanding medical professionals capable of delivering excellent scientific and professional standards.
The society works to achieve the following goals:
Develop scientific knowledge among full and associate members through lectures, seminars, meetings, and scientific publications.
Promote community health awareness regarding plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Encourage progress and development in the society’s field of specialization.
Facilitate scientific exchange with relevant institutions inside Yemen and abroad.
Encourage scientific research to improve performance, patient care, and safety.
Build cooperation and exchange expertise with similar Arab and international societies and join regional and international professional bodies.
Support the professional interests of full and associate members and improve their conditions.
